I was a dedicated teacher in Milford Schools.
Teaching is my passion, and I did everything I could to ensure the success of my students. I regularly tutored students after school and on Saturdays at no cost, often providing transportation. When one of my students could not be placed in a foster home, I became a long-term foster parent. I am proud to have been named the Milford/Miami Township Educator of the year. I also received accreditation as a National Board Certified Middle Childhood Generalist.
I am active in our community. I am chairperson for the Milford Citizens Advisory Commission. I volunteer at Boyd E Smith Elementary, where my grandchildren attend. I am the chairperson for STEAM Night and I volunteer at Book Fairs, Walk-A-Thons and Field Days. I volunteer for Feed Our Flock. And, I serve on the board of the Milford Schools Foundation.
I have a proven track record of putting our schools and community first! I am excited to continue my service to Milford Schools and our students by serving on the school board. When elected,
• I will work to keep our schools safe for all.
• I will see that our school board makes wise use of taxpayer money.
• I will fight tirelessly to keep national politics out of local school board governance. We can disagree with our neighbors respectfully and be united for our schools!
GREAT SCHOOLS MAKE GREAT COMMUNITIES!
